I've been looking around at AVForums and such but wanted to check before pulling the trigger (and I don't want to be abused by Bluewizard)

I want to replace my entry level £100 speakers and £100 amp and was looking at the following:

Yamaha AS501 Stereo Amplifier £249
Monitor Audio Bronze 2 £249
Sony PSHX500 turntable £249

Which would leave me a little for speaker stands and maybe a CD player.

Is this a decent enough combo for the money? I'm happier to go New than Used and I'm not an audiophile.

Oh other things to note: I'd love to be able to use my Logitech Harmony with this amp which I THINK I can, and I'll likely be hooking up a Sonos connect to it at some point. Any issues there?

Xx

Lovely responses thanks all.

I am going to stick with new unless someone reliable on here starts shifting kit. I only say that cause I have a little one due any day now and I can't be hassled with things that don't work properly, or come from a smokers home, or have bits missing or stuff like that. I'd love to put in an order, and bish bash bosh all sorted.

I won't rule out bargain used kit in the future but I'm still not really sure what I'm looking for and just wanna listen to my new Christmas vinyls and my dad's original Bowie pressings with some nice results :))

Definitely going to look at the Rega Planar instead of the Sony, I dont need USB particularly.

Will be back with more questions before pulling the trigger I'm sure!
