Currently running on an overclocked i7 2600k quite happily for more than 4 and a half years now, but I'm tempted by an x99/5820k upgrade given the price.

The thing is I only really use my pc for gaming nowadays and I run at 1440p so the cpu is going to have less of an impact on performance. I've been mainly playing BF4/BFH recently and will be playing the new Battlefront no doubt when it comes out at the end of this year. Will an upgrade like this improve performance much in these games based on my current setup (see sig)?

Thoughts? Worth it or just sit tight for now?
 
It's amazing how long this setup is lasting. Still ended up with my finger over the buy button earlier for a 5820k setup, but I'm doing my best to resist.

I think I would have jumped at that price. Just been reading about it on hot deals :)
