it's theoretically possible, but there's no one defining standard for laptop video interfaces, so laptops from different manufacturers or even just different models may, or more likely WILL use different interfaces.
that said, if you can identify what your laptop uses and can find a compatible panel that's the right size with higher res, then it ought to be quite easy
Thanks everyone, the laptops current size is 16" with a res of 1366 x 768, now i have found screens with same size (16") and full hd res Running 1920 x 1080 resolution. Both are the "standard" 30 pin connectors. My laptops is running the nvidia 230m gpu.
