upgrade me please

current system in the signature, looking for a cpu, motherboard + ram upgrade for gaming purposes.

value for money is important. i dont wana waste my money for a couple of fps and i dont wana waste money getting too many..

does that make sense? lol

If i were in your position i would be waiting until June to see what AMD's new Bulldozer cores and socket AM3+ bring to the table.

A good boost in the meantime would be to replace the 8800GT. That would give you the biggest gain. What res do you game at?

it's hard to look past the i5 2500k for only £162 on this week only now that the b3 boards are starting to come through.

so that cpu and which ever p67 b3 board takes your fancy along with some of the ocz low voltage 1600mhz ram would make an ideal gaming machine.

but i have to agree with pastymuncher that a new gpu like a 5850/6850/gtx 460 would make a huge difference also and would tide you over for a while.

ok, so maybe buy some memory at the current prices and wait out the rest until amd do something that might bring down intels prices or beat intel for performance?
