At the moment I'm looking at two possibilities but am open to suggestions.
I game quite a bit, CS go mainly. I am also needing to do more rendering and working with video due to work so I've tried to factor that in also.

If rendering and encoding are a priority task over gaming, id go for the X99 setup. 6 physical cores with ht will help here. Its still perfectly good as a gaming setup too. In single threaded tasks the 6700k will be faster due to its higher clockspeed. Should overclock that bit more too. Though by clocking the 5820k you will gain a bit of extra performance. Recent chips seem to be clocking pretty well.
