Guys I'm currently in the market for a new CPU and have seen a few 3700/3800x's decently priced. Would they be a sufficient upgrade from my 2700 or should I keep holding for a 5xxx?

I flogged the 3700X when a 3900XT came up on ebay for not much more and between the 2700 and 3900XT there is a noticeable jump in applications - not a huge amount in games mind.

This would be purely for a gaming machine, might hold off then.
