I had another account which i bought a whole pc from here before thanks to the help of you folks before. I tried getting my old account back but when i tried..white screen and nothing loaded. had to make new account.

So my current spec is:

CPU: Intel Core i3-2120 3.30ghz (sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 processor - retail
GPU: MSI HD 7750 2gig ddr3 PCI-Express gfx card
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500gig sata 6gbs 16mb cache - OEM
MOBO: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 (socket 1155) DDR3 (MB-364-GI)
PSU: OCZ CoreXtreme 500w '80 plus' Power Supply
CASE: Xigmatek Asgard Midi Tower Case - Black
RAM: GeIL Black Dragon 8gig (2x4GB) DDR3 1333Mhz Dual Channel Kit

Im looking to Upgrade my CPU and GPU, i want to play newer games in higher settings (hell..id like to play my Witcher2 in higher settings with stable 30 fps)

Budget is £250 max. i was looking at:
Intel Core i5-4460 3.20GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail (£140)

Sapphire Radeon R7 265 Dual-X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (£100)

I hear the R+ series gets very hot tho... if there is other options please tell me otherwise. i do mainly gaming and dont mind if the games are med-high settings. i dont care about ULTRA and AA++ and whatnot.

Thanks.

Edit: just noticed the sockets.. 1155 and 1150.. is my MOBO outdated?. hope not.

Intel Core i5-3470 3.20GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail (same price as haswell) ill get that otherwise?

Just wondering.. is it sometimes better to have an amazing CPU and run off its HD integrated chip as a graphics card? i hear the latest kind of CPU's have pretty amazing inbuilt graphics

So no ideas on what to upgrade to? second hand i cant do. as i dont know such places... kinda odd why i cant get into the second hand market right off the bat. you dont need 1000 posts and 180 days to buy off (you know where) where they sell stuff across countries instantly.

I just fear of bottlenecking ether my CPU or GPU. im needing a visual improvement well worth the asking price for such parts.

Within my price range. and needing to get a good CPU with a good GPU. what CPU should i look out for within my price range. (more power for buck)

Also its kinda odd..why arent OC using competative prices when other places are cheaper? odd buisness strategy.
