Hi guys,

I am looking to upgrade my PC, I bought my last one from OCUK and it's lasted me this far, I am looking to buy a pre built desktop, I already have monitor, keyboard etc so just the tower itself.

I mainly play WoW and the new expansion requirements have went up. I also dabble in DoTA2, Overwatch and Final Fantasty.

I was looking at: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/tita...e-i3-i5-gtx-1050ti-rx-570-fs-18d-og.html#t=b6

I want it to be able to run these games on max settings, just wondering if anyone can recommend any at all?

Thanks a lot.

I have a 1080p Samsung monitor just now, Not wanting to upgrade that, just the desktop that I need to make an upgrade to.

Current PC I have has:
Nvidia GeForce GTX 670
16gig RAM
i5-3570k CPU @3.40GHz

Gtx 1060 and overclock the CPU

Maybe slap nice 500GB in their . Team group 470gb for £99 or Samsung 850 500GB for £119

See a big jump with the GPU upgrade without massive power consumption

Been looking at this build, Case is not really important to me as the computer will be mostly out of sight so can save money there. Don't know how well this would run though.

better, some parts out of stock currently though

Reduce SSD space to 120GB to get even closer to 1200 budget. Main reservation here is the PSU.

But if you were really wanting to save money (and not buy a whole new system) then OC the CPU (may need better cooler) and buy a 1070/1070ti.
The i5 3570k is still quite capable when overclocked and paired with a fast GPU. The GTX 670 is currently the biggest bottleneck in your PC.

Really, all you need is a new GPU. A GTX 1060 will sort you out - a GTX 1070 will be better, of course, but cost more. Second on your list of upgrades should be a SSD.

Changing the GPU is plug and play: you unplug the old one and plug in the new one and update the video driver. Upgrading to a SSD is a little more complex, but if you've not reinstalled Windows in a while, it's a good excuse.

I might do that then my hard drive is quite old so if I replace that and the GPU you think that would be enough? Also still using Windows 7 so think I'll need to upgrade that also

Do you think this would be reasonable for the price? Only thing I feel that may be pulling this down is the RAM but I can change the RAM from my old setup.

Unless you're using a display with high PPI or running an application which demands it there's no need to upgrade from Windows 7.

You will see far better gaming performance on your current CPU with a GTX 1060 than a new CPU with a GTX 1050 Ti.

These will give you the best bang for your buck, and you can transfer them to a new system later on:

I've included both the GTX 1060 and the GTX 1070.

Thanks a lot for that, think I might look at the 1060 and a new Hard drive. Not built a PC in years so thought so much might have changed that I would be better buying a full new system.

not really lol...
i'm still using a 3770k @ 4.4ghz nearly 6 years later...
cpu progression has been really slow since AMD hasn't innovated (until recently), so intel has been milking the public with pathetic improvements for the last few years...
