Hello

I need some help on which parts would be suitable for an upgrade or to purchase a new rig. The components I already have are :

InWin Fanqua Gaming Case
Intel i5 3570K - (4 x 3.4 GHZ) - Ivy Bridge
Asus P8Z77-M (Intel Z77) - VGA/DVI
Corsair 800W Gaming PSU - Low Noise
Corsair 8GB XMS3 PC3-12800 1600MHz (2x4GB)
2 TB Seagate (2000 GB) SATA-III HDD 7200 RPM 64MB

My Graphics card (ATI Radeon HD 7850 - 2 GB - (XFX) - (PCI-E) recently broke

I was thinking of getting a larger case, new graphics card and a SSD any suggestions on which ones would be ideal.

This PC is mainly for gaming, and budget is around 600-700

Thank You

Nvidia had just released there pascal gpu 1080 which is £620 i would maybe wait for the 1070 to be released and maybe go for that.

Are you desperate for a gpu ? what type of case do you want/like ?

The 1070 would be fine with your motherboard and should fit your case, though personally I'd be looking at a case upgrade anyway. Given your £600-700 budget you should be able to buy a 1070, a new case and an SSD. We don't know exactly how much the 1070 is going to be yet but I would imagine it will be around £400-450. With the remaining budget you could go for a number of cases, depending on which takes your fancy. I'd recommend looking at the Fractal Design Define R5, NZXT H440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro or Enthoo Evolv (depending on budget):

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £445.46
(includes shipping: £33.54)

I've got a Phanteks case and they are superb, but any of the ones listed above would be good and should be a nice upgrade in terms of airflow and noise level over your inwin case, which is pretty old and doesn't seem like it was particularly well reviewed at the time to be honest.

In terms of SSD you should look at the Samsung 850 Evo, it's most peoples go-to SSD:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £70.99
(includes shipping: £0.00)

I would definitely recommend the SSD. For me, upgrading to an SSD was the biggest 'wow' moment I've had in my time using PCs. The difference in boot-up time and general read and write times between an SSD and a standard HDD is enormous.

The Samsung SSD i would definitely buy, I have a 850 1TB Pro on my other PC and general Boot-up time is incredibly fast.

Would a Full tower be better, more room etc, trying to find one with a green coloured theme

Also what else should i upgrade ? I may have an increase in budget

I was thinking RAM or Motherboard, the PSU is fine

How green do you want the case to be ? mid towers are quite big theese days. Another 8 gb of ram would be a ghood choice but your stuck with your motherboard unless you can get one second hand.

What model psu do you have ?

would prefer one with option to put in green LED something similar to the Bitfenix colossus

The PSU i already have is : Corsair 800W Gaming PSU - Low Noise

how come im not able to upgrade on motherboards ?

ohh ok cool, il keep il motherboard and cpu any ideas on case ?

So il keep the PSU, CPU, and motherboard

And il be purchasing the gtx 1080 when released, 250 - 500gb samsung ssd, 16gb ram

just need to decide on case
