Finally about to upgrade my CPU from a Athlon X2 4000 to Phenom II 945.

Athlon is 65 watt, whereas the Phenom is 96 watt. Currently have the Zalman CNPS7500-CU which is ok, but guess I'd better upgrade the HSF.

Any suggestions, rather not spend too much, oh and it's for my HTPC so can't be too big.

Thanks,

You don't really need to concentrate to much on the wattage of the cpu if your not going to over-clock or play games etc. The CPU in a HTPC will probably never go over 30% usage, and would be more than fine on stock cooling.

I used to run a q6600 under that Zalman at 3.6Ghz and it never went over 65c at 100%. Spend the money towards a new sound card.
