So my work has provided me with a laptop/notebook for managing the company website and photos, I wont be installing any PS or lightroom etc only something simple for re-sizing images and adding a little contrast maybe?

The laptop/notebook is a New HP 430 Probook G3 with the latest skylake i5 processor, 4GB memory (expandable upto 16GB), 500GB HDD and free M.2 2280 slot. Our external supplier said that I can add whatever I want i.e. memory, ssd, etc but would to install myself as it would void the HP warranty.

Should I install the 16GB memory and 500gb SSD in place of the hard drive before first boot.

or just install the 16GB memory and 250GB M.2 for programs and OS to boot from and store data on the already installed 500GB HDD?

I am only doing this because I have the opportunity to do so at no cost

Here is a link to a recent and very in-depth review for this particular laptop/notebook.

Any advice would be appreciated

Many thanks

If its like the one I have then the ram is listed as user replacement but m.2 is service center as need to take whole back off. Not sure if warranty sticker is anywhere. You could always replace the standard hdd with ssd as that is also under user replacement.
