Hi folks,
I have an old pair of Q Acoustics 1010 (on Q stands) and a Cambridge Azure 550A stereo amp. Average/Good at the time 15 years ago but probably worth an upgrade now. They were originally used for hi fi audio listening but are now relegated to our fun room which the kids use and provide the audio for a 75" TV.
What would be the obvious upgrade path from here without going surround sound? I'd like to stick to a good receiver, good bookshelves (I think?) and no subwoofer (unless bookshelves cannot provide bass).
Budget is a cheap and cheerful, amateur level so maybe up to a grand or so (GBP)
