This is my current rig, built a few years ago

CPU Intel i3-2100K
Motherboard Gigabyte XKT-1155 Z68AP-D3 Motherboard
Ram G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz Dual Channel
GPU MSI HD 7850 OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics
HDD Seagate 320GB IDE HDD
PSU seasonic 430W PSU

I'm gaming on a 42" 720p plasma so game at 1280x720. I've played FC3 and Tombraider with all detail settings on high and its been great, the lower resolution seems to make that possible.
I only really use this for gaming as it sits behind the TV in the living room.
I've got a small amount of cash for probably one upgrade so wondered where i would see the most improvement. I was thinking of maybe a SSD to improve the general window experience and get an improvement in loading times etc. That would be around £50-60, is there a better way to spend the money?

I havent hit a bottle neck yet, but will be looking to pick up FarCry4 and GTA5 over Xmas so would like to enjoy those.

You will fast run into issues with only 1gb VRAM so a new GPU should be a longer term plan, but for now a decent 250gb (or thereabouts) SSD would probably be the best way to spend £60.

Thank you, thats what i was considering doing. I've not had any major gaming issues so think a general upgrade of SSD would be good rather than GPU specific right now.

I assume i can install windows 10 straight onto a new drive now and use my current windows 7 key, you dont have to do the upgrade first now after the recent update do you
