Righty, im trying to make my pc quiet, whist upgrading to C2D.

I now have my loverly new BFG 680i and e6600, and have (finally) started using sata drives!

Current cooling is 2x120mm fans, 1 intake, 1 exhaust, the exhaust is the stock one (quiet :o) that comes with thermaltake cases (i have the swing) i like the case, but its getting a bit small/airflow isn't amazing. Front fan i cant remember the make, cheapo one thats noisy as hell, and is running on my akasa fan controller.

My dual 76gt's are being cooled by vf900's happy as larry with these, so nothing to change there.

Whats most noisy are the PSU (hiper type r 580w, has served me well, but its just too damn noisy and too damn hot..) I was thinking of sticking with a bfg theme and opting for the BFG 800w psu, are these any good? i would basically like a high powered psu thats exceedingly quiet if someone could recommend me one.

I'd also like advice on replacing the 2 120mm fans, very quiet please, and would rather like blue LED fans (goes with the theme really)

My zalman 9500 is doing its job at the moment, but i will eventually go for some nice watercooling kit, i'll post about that else where, but could someone recommend me a nice case, preferably in black, but aluminium is pretty sweet too, that could house a water cooling system with a bay-res and a 120.2 rad.

Cheers for any input,

Phil

Cheers for the replies.

Thought the scythe's would have been the users choice :D especially if they are attached to the fan controller, they look to be uber quiet.. But is there a decent led fan that is quiet and can push at least a 'bit' of air?

Not going to upgrade to the tuniq as will W/C it soon, although i have always wanted to play around with one of these bad boys.

With regards to the corsair PSU, i should have stated about the upgradability..

I know its a great PSU, and can handle a pretty decent system.. 8800gtx etc,

But what would it be like with 2 8800gtx's, im assuming thats a no go. But would it be able to cope with 2 8800gts's 640 or 320 versions?

Cheers,

Phil

The 620W will do 2 8800 series cards with no problems. Triple 12V rails 4TW.
