Upgrade options

Right looking at upgrading my sons pc a bit.
Current spec is

Amd athlon 750k
4gb 1333mhz ram
R7 260x
Evga 430w psu
Antec aio watercooler

He also has a 1440p ips monitor ( my old one)

Ive got 16gb 1866mhz ram arriving today so going to put my 8gb 1600mhz in it.

Currently has no overclock at all.

Was looking at putting a athlon 860k into it & either
R9 270x, r9 285 or gtx 960

Is it worth upgrading to the 860k?

I would just buy a gpu and see if your cpu limits the games, and go for 3gb of vram on a gpu. Your power supply may need changing

AMD releases new gpus end of june i believe

Doesnt matter about playing games at high. Medium / low is enough.

Had to pop out but my ram arrived so its got 8gb 1600mhz now and did manhed to overclock it to 4ghz quickly
