Upgrade options

I'm debating what to upgrade right now, The debate is a GTX 2070 or Processor Ryzen 3950x or i9 9900k

My current specs are

I5 8600k 3.6 GHZ
48GB RAM
Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
Asus Prime Z370-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Plenty of SSD storage
Corsair CXM 550 W PSU

Right now I mainly play CSGO and Will be playing Valorant when it gets released. I do some stuff for my job that requires a half decent Processor this one is sufficient for it right now but obviously upgrading it would boost it quite a bit. CSGO and Valorant are both CPU heavy games not GPU but obviously the GPU helps.

I think in the end I will upgrade both but undecided on which to do 1st. Might save me some money buying one now and hoping the price will drop a bit on the other item,

If not playing currently anything heavily GPU demanding, I would recommend waiting for next-gen GPUs to come out in later part of the year.
Now is literally historically bad time to buy expensive graphics card for lack of holding performance in future, no matter how much you pay.
Just for measure next Xbox comes with about 2080 Super level GPU.

As for CPU might be better to wait for Zen3/Ryzen 4000.
But certainly paying luxury price for yester-yesteryear's CPU with console level cores isn't sensible.
