Hey guys, got a really annoying itch to buy some new hardware, you all know how it is.

But I can't decide if it's worth me getting something new for my PC (specs in sig) or build a nice little HTPC with a A10-5800k.

Decisions, decisions ...

What would you budget be for this?

The i5 2500k is still very capable along with the other hardware.

I'd suggest an SSD for sure, could always upgrade your PSU or Case/motherboard?

Budget would be £400-£500 maximum, so 7970 + waterblock or a whole new mini pc.

I like the idea of upgrading from my P67 board, as it's the oldest thing i've got in my case, but as far as a motherboard goes, i really can't fault it.

Would another 7970 on top for mine, which is clocked @ 1200Mhz, really be of any need when playing at 1920x1080.

What would this be for? An overall boast in performance overall or gaming? Or...?

I'd suggest with that -

#1 - 256GB/128GB SSD
#2 - Z77 motherboard
#3 - Possible a waterblock/addtion to watercooling loop

Wait for Iverbridge-e and see what that has to offer.
