I haven't upgraded my PC for a while now and have been offered a bonus through work by buying some or all new parts for my home PC.

This is my current rig.

Silverstone GD01
Seasonic 500W PSU
Intel E8200 2.66
4GB OCZ Gold 6400
Gigabyte 965P DS3
Gainward 8800GTS 640MB
X-Fi sound card - I play games with headphones.
2 X 500GB samsung spin points. I could probably do with swapping one for a 1TB HD.

Only thing is, my rig is on a shelf so needs to be a desktop/HTPC case so I have to take that into account when choosing a graphics card.

Uses for the machine are no more taxing than our small business and internet and gaming obviously.

Any help would be really appreciated - I've been out of the PC building game for a couple of years :) Judging by the build guide there doesn't look like very much I can carry over to the new machine.

As for cost - don't know say 1K and work back from there.

Hmm, what do you have in mind for the budget? Because we could go crazy here and put you together a £2,000 rig that you'll never need. Also, when you say "gaming of course" what are we talking?

Mostly FPS games. Haven't bought any for a while so the current setup will play most of the games I've got without flinching too much.

I edited my first post to £1K but don't want to spend too much if its not worth while.

I have it on Vista 64 Ultimate that I would like to bin also. :)

I would recommend you wait til Windows 7 comes out before buying, but I can spec you for hardware.

My recommendation.

Isn't 500W enough these days?

Also, I need a HTPC case because of the machines location. Having said that I may have to move the machine as I've had 2 BSOD halts which are heat related.

Pretty sure they dont. Internal pics would be handy.
EDIT: browse around, it doesnt look standard ATX.

I'm not to crash hot on uATX PSUs and I feel that spending the next 3 days reading various reviews to find out would be unfair on the OP. So I defer to anyone who can recommend a good PSU that will power the above speced system.
