upgrade or new build

Is it going to be worth upgrading my Intel 775 rig or better to re-build with core i7

I'm currently running

Asus P5Q mobo
E5200 OC @ 3.8Ghz
Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5


when i built it i did it on a budget of £400 and i think i made the best build i could on that budget at that time so im looking at cost to performance effectiveness this time

any ideas or suggestions
