My current PC is 4 years old. It still runs well enough, but some new games can't be run on high.

My current setup is:

i7-6700k
Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P
Asus GTX 1060
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB)
bequiet! Shadow Rock LP 120mm

My case is a Corsair Volant 2.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you overclocking?

Nope. I would if I was comfortable doing that though.

What games are you playing and at what resolution

1920x1080 on a 24" Asus monitor. Recently it's been Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Deus Ex: MD. I don't play MP. The couple of games I'm planning on getting I've got recommended specs for (Cyberpunk 2077 & Doom Eternal).

When I got my PC I was planning on putting a GTX 1080 in but I went with a better CPU instead.

The upcoming 3060 Ti should be a fine upgrade, and no doubt AMD will be launching a competitor card soon enough.

Are you considering upgrading your monitor? If so, take a look at 3440x1440 monitors. Again GPUs like the 3060 Ti and the AMD equivalent will be fine, though the more power the better.
