Upgrade or new pc?

currently i have

AMD 64 3000+ Winchester
Asus A8V
6800GT 256MB AGP
1GB Geil Value 3200

i have around 300-400 quid to spend, and i need to replace the graphics card at least, which would mean getting a new motherboard and a new psu would be good (currently using a nameless brand one)

Am me, if you replace 6800 with x800.

I always used to upgrade regularly, but over the last few years have found this to be quie unsatisfying (and usually end up playing the same games with a little more eye candy and some more aa/af). This time it's a full upgrade conroe style \o/

I'm half tempted to take the leap and get myself a new Conroe setup, but im not sure about the motherboards at the moment. It's all new tech and the early boards always seem to have problems that get sorted later.

This kinda points at waiting for a while for the newer boards to be released, but im impatient and want to get it done now!!!
