What do you guys think, should I just upgrade here and there, or should I go for a whole new system. This is my current spec:

Gigabyte P35C-DS3R Motherboard
Intel E2160 @ 1.8 Ghz Dual Core Processor
2 Gig 800Mhz Ram
Nvidia 8800GT 512mb Graphics Card
150Gig Samsung HD160JJ Hard Drive
Lacie 500Gig External Hard Drive
Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme
LG GH22 22x Double Layer DVD writer
Asus 24" LCD Monitor

I definatly need a new hard drive regardless and i'm guessing i'll need a new CPU, RAM and GFX card??

I've not upgraded the PC since the 8800GT came out (apart from the monitor) so i'm severely out of step with whats available at the moment, if there are any big steps in terms of products coming out shortly (like i waited a few extra weeks to get the 8800GT)

My aim is to have a good gaming PC for the next year or two. I'm really looking forward to buying Operation Flashpoint, Half Life Episode 3 and whenever Crytek get round to continuing Crysis!

Budget dependent. I'm inclined to say since cpu, ram and graphics card are being replaced anyway, you may as well add a new motherboard. If you want a partial upgrade the 8800gt is still good at lowish resolutions or if you don't care that much about running games "maxxed out", so new processor and ram may carry you.

Nothing exciting happening in the cpu or graphics markets for a while, barring some very expensive offerings from nvidia that will probably get to us eventually.

What's your powersupply? Newer graphics cards might kill it off if it's a weak one.
