With games like Skyrim and Deus ex round the corner I want to make sure my system was good enough.

Currently I have a 32 bit Windows Vista operating system
Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 @ 2.66ghz
4 Gb Ram
ATI Radeon HD 5850 1Gb
Motherboard - Gigabyte 965P-DS3

Also my operating system hard drive is an IDE, would upgrading this help?

Anyway my main question is should I look at throwing more money into this system or start over with a 64bit machine? and if so, what components could i use from the old system?

Many thanks

wait until BD is release then you can decide if you want an upgrade, shouldnt be that long from now.
hmmmm, getting a cooler and overclocking that CPU should help.
maybe getting Retail Win7 and using it with this machine might help
depends really on how much you want to spend.
i would just buy things you can carry over to the next build, ie. SSD,Retail Win7, Cooler, Case, PSU.

i upgraded the other day from an athlon x2 to sandy bridge, kept every thing from my old pc like case drives graphics card ect i got a 5850 too and there is a huge diffrence in almost all games!
