E8500 oc'd to 4.2
Asus Maximus Formula mobo
8 gig of ddr2 memory

I was thinking of uprading to.....
Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz (Bloomfield) (Socket LGA1366).
Corsair Dominator GT 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000C8 2000MHz Triple Channel Kit.
Asus Rampage II Extreme Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard.

Is it worth it or just hang back for SB or for prices to fall further on the I7 when the SB is released.

I would wait till SD, you have a good clock on your E8500 and a nice motherboard, what speed is your ram running at? you would not see a massive difference in performance in games, so you are better off just waiting till SD or till i7 prices drop.
