Upgrade or start Anew?

hi guys i was wondering what you all think of this, atm i have the following
Amd 4000+ skt 939
asus a8n sli deluxe mobo
2gig of ram
ati x850xt pe

should i upgrade thi pc or just sell it on and get the pc in this week only thats 350 with the amd dual core and amd 4850? as it seems a steal?

Re-build, 939 cant realistically go much further than that (and ddr2/3 ram is pretty cheap today)

agreed, s939 is a dead socket these days, start anew, gofor an am2+/am3 setup or cire i7 dependant on budget

have to agree with he others above socket 939 has been dead for ages and while you might bb able to get a 2nd hand x2 chip the rest of the system is still quite slow and with prices so low these days i would say sell the internals and possably the psu (depends how old it is and what how powerful it is) and rebuild, if you can tell us what you use the system for (ie gaming, office ect) and if it's gaming could you say what games you play or plan to play as this will help us recomend an upgrade

Ive still got a lovely AMD 4400+ X2 - Works perfectly well for everything I need it for!

depends what he uses that pc for i suppose.. but i'm guessing gaming. if you are wanting modern gaming on medium/high resolution full upgrade.

your pc is worth around 150ish

i think i might wait a little longer until like battlefield 3 is out or windows 7 or something and i'll just reinstall windows for now to get my current pc at its best cos its still pretty quick really, ill probly drill the hell out of the intake of the case to cos it brings in next to no air
