Any of you guys know if the price of the current Phenom 955's is likley to drop with the impending release of the Thuban processors? just wandering seems im considering making the upgrade from a Phenom 550 and don't mind holding out if it might save me a tenner or so.

TBH its the same old story wait and you'll be waiting forever as there is always something better around the corner, however I dont see the 955 dropping by a great deal as I suspect the Phenom II X6 (Thuban) chips will slot in at a higher price point thus becoming very good competition for the i7 chips in the £200 sector

If your pushed on budget have a look on the members market you may pick up a bargain
