Hey,

I'll get this out of the way:

CPU - AMD Athlon 4400 X2 - Socket 939
Motherboard - DFI Lanparty Ultra Expert SLI-DR
RAM - DDR1 2GB
GPU - Nvidia 8800GT 256MB :/
PSU - Tagan 480W
---ALL STOCK

I've got around £350 and I'm not sure what to upgrade. I was thinking maybe I could squeeze in a Core i5 system (CPU/MOBO/MEM) or then I started to look at the new ATI 5850 but that might be overkill for my current system and would be like strapping a rocket onto old car and wouldn't see any major benefit because my system would cause a bottleneck to the GPU..

I do a fair bit of Photoshop but have recently started playing PC games again and would like to play the likes of Stalker/WiC.

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Na. Wasn't sure myself but my current Mobo doesn't support it.
. Four 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMM sockets
. Supports dual channel (128-bit wide) memory interface
. Supports up to 4GB system memory
. Supports PC2100 (DDR266), PC2700 (DDR333) and PC3200 (DDR400) DDR SDRAM DIMM
