Upgrade Path?

Hi.

Current PC is in sig and I use it mainly for gaming. I'm looking to upgrade, primarily the graphics card, but maybe also the chip and possibly to DDR3...

However, I'm aware my case may not be big enough for the current cards, and then there's a new PSU and possibly motherboard for some of the new chips and DDR3.

So, advise please on where to start?!

Budget is ~ £1K.

No need for monitor or software.

Core i7 920 @3.6-3.8 on air, GTX280, 6GIG RAM - a combination that is damn fast and the only thing to get ATM. There's always something new around the corner, GTX 295 for example, but the market is never going to reach a plateau. Your drives and PSU should fit nicely with the new stuff.

Yeah go with an x58 motherboard of your choice the i7 920 and 6gb ddr3, GTX 280 would be great or a 4850x2 if you prefer that.

Hmm im not to familiar with your case. just open it up and make sure you have around 11" free where the graphics card goes, if not i recomend the antec 300...
