Upgrade path

Been playing a few games lately since getting a steering wheel and it can lag a bit on dirt rally.

Currently have
Phenom 2 dual core
Gigabyte 880 mobo
8 gig ram
His 6950 g card
Sata had.

Can't really afford a full upgrade so what would be the best change I could make?

Honestly? Lower the settings in game.

What kind of budget do you have to play with?

if need be i could get a bundle on interest free card but rarely play games now. the only annoying thing is the size of the g card, if memory serves me right (its a pain to pull the base unit out) the card covers a few sata ports tho i dont know if a right angle cable would solve this.

my thoughts were ssd drive and a phenom 1055t cpu?

Those will both help, can't hurt to upgrade. The 6950 ought to be able to play the game fine with a decent CPU
