I use Photoshop 6 for mainly photos and resizing stuff (far better than PSP X which I also have). Would an upgrade to CS2 be of benefit or would it be a waste of funds?

I supose it realy depends on how YOU use it, if your just using it to sort out your family pictures ect that i don't see much point in upgrading, but if your using it as say part of a hobby which your serious about then it might be worth it.

Have a look on the adobe website and see what they actually added / improved and see if you'd use this extra features or not, chances are all the stuff they've upgraded or added are of no use to you at all.

I'd say upgrade, but hold on for a while until CS3 comes out (due early 2007). I'm in the same situation where I'm using Photoshop 7.0 at the moment and waiting for CS3 since theres no point in spending a stack of money when the software will be out of date in a few months.

I've noticed that most tutorials I use have a lot of stuff there that my version doesn't have ... and along with the universal binary of CS3 for the mac I'm definetly going to be investing in the latest version.
