Upgrade problems [GTX 280]

I tried to install 2 new GTX 280 cards in my gaming system wich was usin an E7200 and i could get to the BIOS fine then the computer would restart itself for no obvious reason, i've since installed a Q9300 wich made things worse as no picture appears at all with it .
Any ideas ?
 
Yep, i got a friend in the local computer shop testing everything [RAM, both CPU's, both GTX 280's and with a 9600gt]
I know the motherboard BIOS are out of date tho by several version.
