Upgrade Process

After considering a laptop... and still considering :o - I am now thinking of just upgrading my PC

Currently im running a AMD 3700+ CPU, 7800GTX Graphics, ASUS A8N Mobo and 2GB Corsair RAM.

HDD (74gb Raptor and 250gb WD as storage), Soundcard (XFI), Case (Akasa), Drives (DVDRW), PSU (Tagan 550 iirc) etc should be fine to remain as is.

So what I am after is the best bundle that gives me 'bang for buck' for around £600 for the following bits:

CPU
RAM
Motherboard
Graphics Card
& Vista 64BIT

RAM I know id want the 4GB DDR3 variant, but im not sure what Mobo is compatible and what CPU etc also goes with. I want it to run as fast as possible! Also would I need to invest in more fans? The PC runs pretty cool at the minute, the case is fantastic for that.

All help appreciated.

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) - Retail + World In Conflict PC Game - 212.98

Asus P6T Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard - 169.99

OCZ Blade Series 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000 Triple Channel - 103.99

XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card - 139.99

Total - 626.95

A little over budget but I get 6GB RAM so thats ok, but the main thing is:

Will all that work together? And what else is recommended should I purchase?

Tbh I doubt ill be overclocking... I built this system 'way back when' with that intention but never did, so id want something to run fast at stock.

Gaming is probably the main reason for the upgrade, Football Manager is probably my most played game so id like it to crunch and process very quickly for that. But I also like RTS/FPS games and have probably only not bought anything new beause my system is so out of date.

How much cheaper would the other parts make it?

Just to add in here the PSU I currently have is:

Tagan TG530-U22 530W ATX2.01 2Force SLi Compliant Silent PSU

Im assuming that will work with those upgrade parts?
