I am looking to upgrade my PC but I haven't followed the hardware scene for a long time. What PSU would you recommend for the spec below? Is the retail cooler and fan ok or is it worth upgrading? Are there any potential problems?

OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2 (OCZ2G8004GK)
Asus Rampage Formula Intel X48 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.00GHz (1333FSB) - Retail
Thermalright IFX-14 CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/LGA775)
Scythe S-FLEX 1200RPM Ultra Quiet 120mm Fan - 3/4 pin
Coolermaster RC-1000 Cosmos Silent Full Tower Case
Samsung SH-S203P/RSMN 20x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer Lightscribe ReWriter (Beige/Black/Silver) - Retail
Samsung SpinPoint F1 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD502IJ)

I am going to be using my existing graphics card until the new ones are released.

Any help advice is appreciated.

firstly are you overclocking?
secondly are you obsessed with your temps?

thirdly how much are you willing to spend on your PSU?

firstly are you overclocking? Probably not
secondly are you obsessed with your temps? Nope

thirdly how much are you willing to spend on your PSU? Under £100

then i say dont get a cooler yet, and see how your temps are like with the stock cooler and when you get your new graphics cards get the cooler if you feel the need for one

for the psu at that price, i would be tempted by the corsair HX620
