upgrade question

Question guys,

I'm Running a
Intel core 2 duo 6600,
Asus p5n-e sli and i'm currely got a Geforce GT220 running.

Given this mobo already is about 4 years old, what are the chances of running something like a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 470 OC 1280MB would there be any bottleneck? or issue with the two working with eachother?

As game at 1920x1080 which is my rez at the moment

Any thoughts would help

If CPU is at stock it will bottleneck the 470 big time, your mobo will be fine. And what PSU are you running?

if i remember right, it's a 620.

Would a quad core solve the bottle neck problem?

If you did upgrade to a quad, with the p5ne board you may be limited as far as overclocking go's, the nforce boards arent renowned for their quad clocking ability.

Yeah a new mobo and CPU before GFX IMO. Or try and clock your current CPU.
