Can someone tell me what a good single card upgrade would be please ?
Current cards are HD 5770 Vapor X's in crossfire. These are obviously quite old now and tbh I could do with the PCIe slot that is been hidden by one of the graphics cards.
I still play a few games so want something with similar or better performance than what I have now.
Budget is about £200. Many thanks :)

for £200 you can get a 280 which will rather demolish xfired 5770s.

One available here: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-347-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1842

If you're willing to look for deals you may be able to get a 280X for that money which would be slightly better still.

Alternately if you'd rather save money a 260X will overmatch what you currently have for much less expense: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-329-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1866

Obviously you could choose to buy somewhere in between these options, with the 265 and the 270 being decent options, the 270X is too close in performance and too much extra money over the 270 for me though.
I'm sure there are some nVidia choices to add too but I forget where they align to the AMD ones on performance and price. Basically any card from either side between £100 and £200 will do you!

Thank you very much for the advice David. Think I will get the 280X. It will be a bit more future proof then :)
I updated my mobo and cpu last year but couldn't afford the gpu but can now.
Thanks again.

I decided to get a ASUS AMD Radeon R9 280X DirectCU II TOP.
Is it just a case of a card exchange in the mobo do you know. Already got AMD drivers on the system.
Cheers.
