upgrade really worth it?

Hi, recently ive saved up a bit of money and im considering to upgrade my graphics card. im planing replace the gtx 470 with an gtx 580 is it really worth it? performance and value wise?

also im getting an ssd for windows 120gig. ive got currently the psu corsair 650wats is it enough for both ssd and gtx 580?

With my i7 system I pull 500w with Furmark and prime running from the mains, I have to disabled the power monitoring on the card and realy test the full load.
