First of all, I currently still game at 1080p, 60fps. When I upgrade I’d like to be able to run a higher frame rate but honestly I’m not bothered about 2k or 4K at all. My current spec is as follows.
Aorus x470 ultra gaming
Ryzen 7 2700x (stock)
16gb Corsair 3200mhz
RTX 3070
Sata ssd (can’t remember what one)
Would it be worth upgrading the cpu to a 5800x3d or 5700x3d (or something else compatible?), Adding another 16gb ram of the same spec and a decent m.2 ssd ? If I done this, I would also be looking at a 5070 later in the year.
My other option of course is to jump to am5 and ddr5 but this would mean keeping the 3070 for a good while as funds would need to be saved.
