Looking at upgrading my i5 9600k, 16gb ram & 2070super to something a bit newer as its coming up to 7yrs old. I can reuse my Corsair 4000d case & drives but the rest all needs replacing so any thoughts/suggestions on the following please?

CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Eight Core 5.20GHz (Socket AM5)
Fan - Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE Dual Tower CPU Cooler - 120mm
Mobo - MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK WIFI (Socket AM5) DDR5 ATX Motherboard - Not sure on this one
RAM - Kingston FURY Beast EXPO 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 PC5-48000C36 6000MHz Dual Channel Kit OR Patriot Viper Venom EXPO 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 C30 6000MHz Dual Channel Kit OR Klevv kit under £300
PSU - Corsair RM850x 850W ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 80 Plus Gold Modular Power Supply
GPU - Saphire 9070xt OR 5070ti around £800 (struggling to justify this one but I dont want to upgrade again for a while)

what drives do you have, how old are they?
same question with the power supply

what is your budget?

My existing psu is only 650w so that will need replacing sadly. As for drives I have a 1tb nvme m.2 & a 2tb corsair ssd so that should do for now.

Spotters badge, missed the cooler off :D

Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE Dual Tower CPU Cooler - 120mm

Also agree the 9070xt is a better deal than the 5070ti, I've always had nvidia & it may just be a a mindset thing that draws me that way due to habit BUT money talks hence me asking for pointers :)

I've got a Tossers badge as well :D

I Would be tempted to downsize and get a matx case and sell you old stuff as a complete pc apart from the storage.

Something like this.

Any other advice on gpu, which ram & mobo?
The klev is better Ram than the kingston as its CAS30 for only £10 more or the Patriot viger C30 ram which is same price. Its unlikely you can get 5070ti for £800 unless you see special deal, if you cant then just buy 9070xt, to be honest given the £200+ price difference between then not sure why anyone would pick 5070ti, they are practically the same performance give or take and AMD has caught up mostly with Nvidia in features and technology unless you are doing something with AI then you can make a case for nvidia card but you would not be picking 5070ti but something with much more VRAM.

Theres some 5070ti on ocuk for around £800 but like you say the price difference it probably too high to make it worth going for. Thanks for the RAM advice :)
