I currently have the Asrock Fata1ty B450 mobo with a Ryzen 7 2700. This is my work pc which is used for photoshop, premier pro etc and i would like to upgrade to a Ryzen 9 3900 x in the next couple of weeks.

i know some will say wait for 5900x however the wait could be long and the price premium is quite a bit

so my question is should i stick with the Asrock Mobo or upgrade that as well ie will there be a suitable peformance increase spending an extra £150 on a mobo

could not decide if this should be in the mobo or cpu section

If you are not going to the 5000 series then that motherboard will be more than ample stick with it. Additionally Asrock will most likely release a BIOS update for the board next year so there will be the option to upgrade the CPU in the future to a 5000 series if you wish!
