Upgrade(s) needed

I am currently looking to upgrade this system

Motherboard: Asus M5a78l
Chip: AMD FX-6100
Graphics: SAPPHIRE AMD R9 280
Ram: 8gb Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3 1600MHz CL9 8GB DIMM Memory

Cant remember the PSU (will upgrade if needed), I have no SSD (don't feel the need)

Looking to spend ~£400-500

How should I spend my money?

Thanks for the info, that had been one I was looking at previously, is it worth getting more ram? and the graphics card should be ok for a while or worth looking at changing that soonish?

Just gaming and general use

Looking for something that I can use for anything out now, not too worried about having everything on ultra and happy with 1920*1080

will be needing new RAM as old mobo, processor and ram are going to upgrade an older pc. was just looking at fans when I saw your post.

looking at the gigabyte z170xp-sli bundle (unless there is a better option for similar price?)

what sort of performance increase should i expect from this?

so 4690 vs 6600 which makes more sense here?

nah was always 500 ish but my psu should be ok and not planning on the ssd so yours helps anyways

and hp's was a 6600 for 500?
