Hi folks,

It's been a while but its that time again. Primarily looking to flick over to Intel so will need a new board & CPU. My budget is £350-400 with a bit of wiggle room, the main purpose of this rig is for gaming, music and the occasional bit of rendering. I am starting to notice my machine slacking on some of the newer releases which I would imagine is down to my CPU at this point.

What I currently have -:

AMD II x4 Athlon 630 @ 3.2ghz
MSI AM3 Motherboard
8GB Corsair XMS3 2x4GB 1333mhz
Asus GTX 670 2GB
128gb Samsung evo ssd
Couple 7200rpm Seagate storage drives
Corsair CX750W Modular PSU

So I guess I am just looking for the best CPU/board bundle with the budget provided - Advise welcome!
 
Don't forget you will need new Ram as well, with the intel chips moving predominately to DDR4 (although you can get 1151 DDR3 boards if you wanted).
