upgrade speakers

I've got a Creative p5800 sound system

However, I don't have the room to benift from the sound sytem, I have all 5 speakersin a row at the end of my desk, and the sub woofer near my feet.

I like the sound quality, however it's a bit pointless for me to have a 6.1 system when it's ayed out like that.

I want to upgrade my speakers, to an even better sound system, but I'd like to get those two speaker systems instead of these bogus 7.1 or 10.1 or 15.1 speaker systems.

I tried out a zeppelin in hmv the other day with my iphone.

the sound quality is just out of this world!

but obviously this is just for the iphone and isn't really suited to work with the PC. I don;t mind paying a premium as long as I can get a nice compact sound system that produces sound just out of this world.

BOSE COMPANION 3 speaker system.

2.1 setup nice and compact with a great sound on both P.C and iphone has 1 x 3.5mm inputs + headphone out on the volume control and 1 x phono connectors on the back of the subwoofer (I think, either that or 3.5mm)

Premium price at around £200, but I searched high and low for weeks/months and heard nothing better.

For your needs the Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 speakers sound ideal for your needs - really nice sound quality and the satellites are a good compact size.

May I ask, do you have a discrete sound card or other sound processing system?

creative gigaworks t20/t40 series are quality

M Audio AV40 / Gigaworks T40 / Aego M 2.1

Take your pick, all have very good sound quality and under £150.

Do not consider the T40's. They are on average a tenner less than the AV40's, but the AV40's are far superior.
