I'm upgrading my aging 939 setup, and the new spec is below, I'm keeping everything else.

I want to stick with AMD and Quad Core, so it is more advice on the other bits.

Any other sggestions would be welcome.

Am I right in thinking theat the AMD's only support 1066 memory in 2 slots, ie if I got another set of that ram, I'd have to run the RAM slower?

Is that the best RAM, for the price, I did have a look an it apears to be a bargain, is there a reason for this?

Would that cooler fit in an Antec 300? Also is that the best Cooler in the price range? I did look at the TRUE but it doesn't come with a fan for the same price. Is there any others people would recommend, and the same with the TIM cleaner and Thermal compound, are there any better that are cheaper. As I want to keep the cost down if possible.

Thanks, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone?

I just want a bit of conformation/recommendation on the parts before I order.

Any opionios or help would be useful.

Looks good to go for me mate,

everything will be fine in the 300 case :)

you dont realy need the cpu cleaner as it will be a new cpu, and you will have no old thermal paste to clean off.

Titan Fenrir looks like a very good cooler for the price. I don't think its any bigger than the TRUE (which fits in the Antec 300 fine) so you should be fine with that cooler. As for the TIM cleaner, thats only needed to remove old TIM - so not needed in your case. You could get some of this though as it prepares the surface for new TIM application.

Though, with £320 to spend on mobo and cpu, this with this would perform faster and overclock better.

That memory is a great deal - best you will find around.

My shot, and have a go at clocking the cpu, should hit 3.2 - 3.4GHz with that cooler no problem, and yeah its a dual channel DDR3 motherboard and i have specd tri-channel, simple because its cheaper for 6gigs than 4gigs, so either use the 6 gig in single channel or the 4 in dual channel and sell the other 2gig modual

And its a good bit cheaper :p

Thanks guys, I was getting the cleaner so I would have some if I ever needed it.

The CPU and Mobo I'm not getting from here (Sorry Ocuk) but I can get it quite a bit cheaper.

And as I said, I'd like to stay AMD (and Asus Mobo really) and go quad.
