Need to ditch Windows XP and bite the bullet with 8.1 but while I was at it decided to maybe upgrade the old system to something a little faster. Current setup is E5200, 2Gb RAM, 320Gb HDD & GTX9800.

I have the keyboard, mouse & monitor and plan to reuse the existing case as it was quite an expensive Antec few years back.

This is what I have cobbled together, are there any glaring incompatibilities? Or imbalance in components? I want to test the water with an SSD HDD too (have the existing 320Gb HDD for extra storage)

I don't game a great deal but that's due to the current rig really, would like to try Bioshock Infinite, FarCry 3, newer stuff etc. Monitor is 1920 x 1200 resolution.

I presume motherboards are still "ATX" and will fit my ATX case?

Budget is approx £500.

Thanks for advice.

Ah, I'd forgotten the cooler, thanks. On the SSD I'd presumed the "Desktop Kit" was required to physically fit the smaller 2.5" SSD into a standard 3.5" bay, does the Basic SSD come with a 2.5" > 3.5" adapter?

Thanks for the PSU spot Idleman, I'll take that one instead.
