Here and There...
I've been totally out of the loop on hardware for a couple of years now but my PC is starting to creak so it might be time for a little upgrade, so I'm hoping you good people can point me in the right direction.

Currently I've got an 939 Opty 146 in an old Asus motherboard with a couple of gigs of ram and an x1800xt, it was cutting edge when I got it but it's a bit of a slow coach by todays standards!

Anyway my PC use has changed somewhat over the years and I haven't touched a 3D game in about 2 years so I don't need a decent graphics card, these days 90% of my use is photo editing. What I'd like is someone to point me in the direction of a decent CPU, Mobo and RAM combo that will fit my needs and not bust the bank I don't mind a bit of overclocking and ideally want to spend no more than £300.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for that, every time I buy a new PC I'm always amazed at the price of RAM 4GB for less than £50 is ridiculous!
