Upgrade suggestion

Heya

At the moment I got a GTX460 768mb and I realise its a good card for current games but id like to go for something more powerful to be safe for stuff like BF3, my processor is pretty good, AMD Phenom II X4 965.

I was thinking of buying a 6870, or something else from nvidia. My budget would be, hmm, about 200 quid ?

Anyone got any suggestions ?

Keep the £200 wait till BF3 is nearer and see how the market is then. Prices should have dropped a fair bit aswell. Your 460 should be faring ok for now?

Yeah, we got a fair few new cards coming soon also so that will help drive things down. I was building a rig but I'm holding off until the end of the month to see how they fare in driving down current prices.

Hmm, maybe thats a good idea, to wait at least till the end of march or so. But anyway, doesnt look as if a new gen will be anytime soon, what would you suggest I would buy for that budget I mentioned ?

I would go for any of the 6950 range and then change the bios to 6970, this should get you the best bang for your buck, it will be slightly over your budget but only by about £20.

I'd just wait until a game that may push it like crysis 2 or BF3 comes along to upgrade. They may be cheaper then as well
