Hey, was currently looking at SB cpus but wasnt impressed. Im on a tight budget atm (Getting driving license to :p) so i thought id stick with a more simple build.

Current specs:
Intel E6850 @ 3.6ghz
4gb ddr2 ram
Abit ab9 pro mobo
Sapphire HD5670 1gb
CX600w psu

Was thinking of adding this.

Will be getting a 6xxx series ATI card later on (feb time) so i didnt add that to the basket.

Will only be using the rig for gaming, Not to bothered about running the game on absolute max or 100fps+. Just want something that doesnt feel slow loading games anymore, maybe will add an SSD to it if i have any spare money

Suggestions guys? :)

Thanks in advanced

PS: not to mention the annoying buzzing noise coming from, i believe the caps on my mobo. Annoys the hell out of me xD

Thank you for the link.

I saw the 2500k will be around £200 delivered? not to mention the motherboards are a lot more expensive. I was looking the the locked ones (H67 chipset) and still wasnt impressed, thought id rather just go with i5 1156. If anyone can convince me otherwise i might buy :p

Have you thought about AMD if youre on a budget? Can get a cracking bargain, Phenom 955, 880 board and RAM (look at Geil) will be almost a ton cheaper still

I have thought about this, the AMD build came up to around 230 i would have liked but i realized i dont have AM3 brackets for my CPU cooler, so a new cooler would have had to be put into that. Would have ended up around the same price.
