Upgrade suggestions

Hello folks

I purchased the "Titan Spinosaur" from OC back in December 2011.
Over the years ive upgraded the GPU/Fans/RAM (all fairly beginner level)
I think the next required upgrade is the Processor, however I am totally lost when it comes to which one to get.
Currently its running the: Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30GHz

Overall System specs below:
Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30GHz
ASUS P8Z68-V Motherboard
16GB DDR3(8 of which is HyperX FURY 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz)Not sure what the other 8 is at it came with.
Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ 4 GB GDDR5

My wife just just bought me a GMX silent case as a Christmas present as I'd love a quiet machine, so will be moving everything over to there and building upwards.

Any general advice on what to buy & upgrade order would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Lemin. So upgrading to the suggested components, rather than just the processor with the original components would give the greatest boost? Thanks in advance

You're correct I unintentionally have. I'd say I've budgeted about 400/500 for any changes now. That being said, if the upgrades can be purchased across 2019, £1000? However best value for money options would be appreciated. Thank you

Yes I think its a waste of time and money. If its just a gaming pc. You can sell your old mobo cpu and ram.

You may want to consider a new psu also, if yours is very old.

what are the other specs of the system? do you have an ssd?
also if you're upgrading the backbone of the system (cpu/mobo/ram) you'll have to reactivate windows...if it's oem windows and you don't have the key it can get potentially problematic if you don't know what you're doing

Thanks for the input everyone. I have a 1TB SSD waiting to be installed. I also have a new version of Windows so fingers crossed it wont be too much of an issue with the reinstall. Honestly i'm that inexperienced with this I dont know what other specs would be relevant.

you havent told us what power supply you have, so i'm assuming it's at least half decent.
