Upgrade thoughts??

Currently running the rig in my sig and I've preordered a rift which means I'm more than likely going to need to shell out for some upgraded kit.. Should I go down the 4790k , 6600k/6700k or the x99 route?

This is purely a gaming rig and will be used to play eve online/ BF4 / Arma 3 and some rift titles when they become available.

What would people suggest? Do I leave it until nearer April when the rift arrives?
 
For gaming you will see the largest gains from a GPU upgrade. I see you already have a 3770K so upgrading to anything from that will not add much to the gaming performance.
 
Make sure you have 3 free usb 3.0 and 1usb 2.0 ports, oculus rift needs them. Other than that yeah your system will be better served with a gpu upgrade.
 
I'm hoping rift works with the 3770k but if not I'm going to have to upgrade board/cpu n ram.

280x crossfired cope nicely but rift appears to be a single card solution. I'm keeping my eye on the mm for a 970/980 at the moment. Just wanted to leave it as late as possible for the gpu upgrade as pascal n Polaris due out in next 6 months
 
So I may have interested parties to sell parts of my current rig. So I may need to order soon.

Any help on deciding which path would be awesome.. Is 2400m 16gb ram good enough for the x99 system??

If I go 6600k or 6700k would I need faster ram?
