hi, its upgrade time again for me and this year is as hard as ever. I'm torn between the style of the sony ericsson w810, the functionality and sheer 'nokia factor' of the nokia n70 and the complete package of the o2 xda mini s.

Now i know that they are all totally different in there own way but one of them is the one i want. I also know the n80 is coming in may but unless someone can give me a real reason to wait then i cant be botherd.

Please help!

sony w810
nokia n70
o2 xda mini s

many thanks.

I got the T-Mob version of the XDA Mini S (they're the same phone!) yesterday and it's great :D Was dodgy for a while as I kept locking it up by clicking too many things, but i've installed this app called 'the Magic Button' and now everything's dandy :D

What do T-Mob call it?

edit : Vario - should've googled it.

I am waiting for the MDA Vario II.
3g, wifi, keyboard, the works.

A nice mix of my Compact I and XDA Exec.

I'll still be after a flip phone as well or maybe a C600 or similar.

My T-Mob contract is already up.

im with you on the wait for the vario II, there is nothing on the market that is a significant upgrade from my spv m500, all have the slower processor and no 3G :/

Tom.

oh my! i know i said in my original post that i couldnt be bothered waiting for the nokia n80.... but i've been looking at it all day and i cant possibly have anything else!!! Bluetooth 2.0, 3rd Edition Symbian OS 9.1, High resolution screen support, Flash Lite, 3 megapixel camera, UPnP support, and of course its 3G!!!

What do you think of that little lot then? ;)

My mind is made up but now i've got another problem- my phone is for sale on the auction site and as of sunday i'll be without a phone. So what i'm going to do is buy a phone that i can use until the end of may (when the n80 arives) and then sell it on the auction site for more or less the same money.

Please help. thanks, alex.
